Flash Android Firmware Using Mobile ODIN on Samsung Devices

Chainfire the creator of CF-Root, Chainfire3D and Canon EOS DSLR controller. For updating Samsung devices we can either use Samsung Kies or use ODIN - a tool used to flash firmwares on your device using a computer. Chainfire has now come up with a fantastic app called Mobile ODIN. The Mobile ODIN will help you flash new firmwares directly from your mobile device.

You just need to have the firmware files on the internal or external SD card of your device. The Mobile ODIN will ONLY work for rooted devices. The Mobile ODIN is currently supported by only a selected devices,
  • Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9100
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab GT-P1000
  • Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000
  • Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000
I'm sure Chainfire is working on adding support for other Android devices soon.

There are two versions of Mobile ODIN, the one is the lite version which is available free of cost. The Pro version needs to be bought from the Android Market.
If you are wondering what is the difference between the two versions, with the pro version the EverRoot feature is enabled. EverRoot allows you to root your device while its being flashed, reducing effors and saving lots of precious time. You can download the Mobile ODIN Lite app from here.

Here are the screenshots of the Mobile ODIN Lite version,
Try the Mobile ODIN Lite version and if you like it then kindly support the developer by purchasing the Mobile ODIN Pro app from Android Market. Remember the Pro version will also make the app ad-free. Here is an Android Market link for Mobile ODIN Pro, it just costs INR 136.43(~2.7 USD).

What do you think about Mobile ODIN??? Will you be willing to use it to flash your Samsung devices???
