Nokia Windows Phones - Lumia 800 and Lumia 710 Launched In India


At an event in Delhi, Nokia launched their Windows Phones in India. Nokia introduced the Lumia series phones which we first saw at Nokia World.
The first device is the Nokia Lumia 800, which has same modern industrial design as that of the MeeGo running smartphone - Nokia N9. It has a 3.7 inch screen with Clear Black Display. A 1.4 GHz processor powers the device. The device comes with 16 GB memory and a 8 MP camera with f/2.2 lens. The Lumia 800 runs the latest version of Windows Phone OS(Mango). The Lumia 800 will be available in three colors - cyan, magenta and black.
The second device from the Finnish company, is the Nokia Lumia 710. It features a LCD with Clear Black Display technology unlike the Lumia 800 which comes with an AMOLED panel. It has the same 1.4 GHz processor and a 5 MP camera instead of 8 MP as seen on the Lumia 800. There are removable back covers in different color varients inside the box.

Nokia India has still not officially commented on the pricing of the phones. Nokia has stated that the Lumia 800 will be available in stores from mid-December. There is no infomation as to when we can see the Lumia 710 in stores.
