Facebook Messenger For Windows Officially Released

Do you visit Facebook only to chat with your friends??? Do you feel it annoying to keep switching back to the Facebook tab just to chat??? Well, Facebook has made chatting extremely easy with its Messenger client. This Facebook messenger is available to download for Windows OS. This messenger is a trial application that lets you use Facebook without being on the Facebook site.

The application includes ticker updates which links back to the Facebook site. The application also includes a blue bar for notifications and new friend requests same as on the Facebook site in addition to chat feature.
Here's the official description of the software,
Messenger for Windows is a new, trial application that lets you use Facebook without being on www.facebook.com. While you surf the web or use other applications on your computer, you can
  • Chat and message with your friends on Facebook
  • See the latest updates from your friends in ticker
  • Get quick notifications about what’s going on
We’re testing out a first version of the app with a small group of people. During this trial period, we plan on rolling out changes to the app and expect outages and periods of instability as we make improvements.
The software installs only on Windows 7 and updates automatically. By default the messenger is undocked which means that you can move the messenger anywhere on the screen, but you can dock it to the right side by clicking 'Dock to Right' option at the bottom-rite side of the software.
Facebook has been busy perfecting the messenger for desktops since November as apart of a private trial, but Israeli blog TechIT leaked the download link on Thursday. Mere hours after Facebook Messenger for Windows was leaked, Facebook officially released the desktop client.
You can download the Facebook messenger from the download link available in the Help Center.
