Enable USB debugging option on Nexus 7 (Wi-Fi/3G)

Today, I'm going to tell you how to enable the USB debugging on your Nexus 7 (WiFi/3G) running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The USB debugging option is not enabled by default on your Nexus 7.
To enable USB debugging you must first have "Developer options" under SYSTEM section in Settings.

Steps to enable USB debugging:

  1. Open your device Settings, either by pulling the status bar from the extreme right and clicking on the Settings icon or by going to the app drawer and clicking on the Settings icon.
  2. Once the Settings menu is open scroll to the bottom to find the SYSTEM section.
  3. Check if you have "Developer options" under SYSTEM section. If yes, proceed to step number six(6).
  4. If you don't find the Developer options then click on the "About tablet" option.
  5. The last option in "About tablet" menu will be "Build Number", keep clicking on it till you get a "You are a developer!" message. This will enable the "Developer options" under the SYSTEM section.
  6. Open the "Developer options" menu by clicking on it.
  7. Check the "USB debugging" check box under the "DEBUGGING" section.
Congratulations, you have successfully enabled USB debugging on your Nexus 7 tablet!
